Martu Early Childhood Care and Development – Australia

Category: Education

Access to quality early childhood care and education is critical for lifelong outcomes. However, early childhood care and development opportunities for children living in remote Indigenous communities still lag well behind those experienced by most non-Indigenous Australians. By supporting this project you will help World Vision to establish and facilitate community-led programs designed to improve education, health and wellbeing outcomes for Martu children and their families.

– increase access to early learning and care so children can grow up healthy and enjoy enriched learning opportunities;

– support local community members to build early childhood skills and capacity and obtain relevant employment;

– equip communities to hold service providers accountable and advocate effectively for the services and activities they would like available; and

– work collaboratively with early childhood services and staff such as schools, childcare centres and health professionals to increase outcomes for children.
