In Myanmar, our focus is on livelihoods. Our projects in this area help local families to create sustainable incomes, as well as improving their access to ongoing sources of nutritious food.

As part of this, we’re assisting vulnerable families in obtaining small loans through community savings groups. These groups are skewed towards women, empowering and enabling them to set up small businesses, support their families and diversify family income.

We’re also helping farmers grow more sustainable crops, which not only provide more nutritious food for their families, but are more productive as well.

By helping families to create their own economic opportunities, they can build a stronger foundation for themselves, their children and their communities.
