StarKids offers the millions of Australians who travel with Jetstar each year the opportunity to help change lives through the simple act of donating some spare change on a flight or a couple of dollars when booking.
This charitable partnership between Jetstar and World Vision Australia supports humanitarian relief and community-based development projects in Australia and across Asia. It’s about transforming the lives of families and communities living in poverty and giving kids a brighter future.
Since it started in 2007, the StarKids partnership between World Vision and Jetstar has raised more than $12 million for children and families in Australia and southeast Asia who face a range of challenges including poor health and education, and a lack of job opportunities. StarKids is helping to change lives. It’s enabling families and communities to tackle the root causes of poverty, inequality and injustice and giving kids a brighter future.
Money raised helps fund important projects that provide clean drinking water, basic healthcare, agricultural training and education in a number of Jetstar’s destinations including Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam , as well as in Australia.
And from time to time, Jetstar and World Vision may instead allocate StarKids donations to support World Vision’s work in responding to severe humanitarian emergencies in other countries.
